Book Review: Dangerous Women by George R.R. Martin, Gardner R. Dozois

Received this book in a Tor books sweepstakes. Very good book with some great authors and stories. Enjoyed the stories “Some Desperado” by Joe Abercrombie – A Red Country story and “Name the Beast” by Sam Sykes. There is also a Excellent story “Shadows For Silence in the Forests of Hell” by Brandon Sanderson.  He is truly a great author.

The real reason I wanted to read this book was the short story “The Princess and the Queen” by George R.R. Martin – A Song of Ice and Fire story. The Princess and the Queen is a narrative history, taking place at the outbreak of the Dance of dragons. The Dance of Dragons began one hundred and sixty-nine years before the events of ASOIAF. It was the conflict that saw most of the lesser branches of house Targaryen and almost all of its dragons destroyed. Some great filler to hold us over while waiting for a new book.

Worth it to treat yourself and read this book!
